E-mail us to ask our rubber track specialists any technical or support
questions you may have.
Our most frequently asked question is "How do I find my track size?" There are
several ways to find out which replacement track you need. First, check your
existing track to see if the size is stamped into the rubber. It is usually
very difficult to find the track size as it is common for the stamp to wear off
during normal use. If you can't find a track size stamped into the rubber then
you can take three simple measurements that will determine which replacement
track you need.
-
Measure the width of the track in millimeters.
-
Measure the distance from the center of one link to the center of the next link
(in millimeters). This is commonly known as the pitch of the track.
-
Count the number of links, or lugs all the way around the track
The measurement is read Width x Pitch x Links.
Another common question concerns tread pattern. When it comes to mini excavator
rubber tracks there are several different tread patterns. Some machines have
two or three options for the tread pattern. Tread patterns tend to change over
the years as improvements are discovered every year. Currently these are some
of the most common examples of tread patterns we stock:
The top two represent the most common 16 inch wide track
tread patterns and the bottom two represent the most common 12 inch wide
tracks. Tread pattern isn't a major concern for most users, but if you are
concerned have your sales rep e-mail you a picture of the exact track they are
planning to ship you to verify you are getting exactly what you want. That is a
very big advantage of buying from Gaberdeen Inc., we have most of the tracks in
our warehouse so we can walk out and snap a picture at any time. Most "dealers"
you see on the internet these days are just middle men that don't stock the
tracks and are simply buying the tracks from a wholesaler to re sell to you.
Gaberdeen brings you the expertise in Rubber Tracks and some of the common
undercarriage parts. We don't try to sell you every part for every machine, we
specialize in what we do and it helps us bring you the product you need at a
price you can handle.
